Theme song by INDA

Hey, guys.

Hey, guys.

Hello.

Hey, guess what?

What?

Happy anniversary.

One year, guys.

It's our birthday.

It's our birthday, one year.

We blew out a candle earlier tonight.

Yeah, it was really funny.

That was fun.

The cake tasted good.

Yeah, we just blew out our birthday candle.

Popped some champagne.

Yeah, popping champagne wishes.

Champagne problems.

Oh, yeah.

We're all back together.

Yeah.

Oh, yeah, we haven't addressed that.

It's been like almost a month.

Yes, it really has.

Busy year.

Yeah.

This is the season of weddings.

Yeah, Colleen has simultaneously been researching and also in everybody's wedding.

Yeah, literally.

What you know, I came to the realization today that there's a plus side of everybody getting married all at once.

I will never have to really remember anybody's anniversaries.

It's all the same year.

Yeah.

You know what I mean?

Yeah.

Like happy anniversary year.

October, November, you're just going to start sending out the anniversary year.

But like, it's easy clap.

I'm like, that's not bad.

You're just going to remember how long everyone's been made.

Yeah.

Sometime in the fall.

Yeah.

Yeah.

It's not a year.

Yeah.

We're all going to remember.

Me and Megan are also going to remember because we have walked through this year with you.

Yeah, I feel like I lived through grad school with Kate, and now I have lived through your peak wedding season of your life.

Season, yeah.

Oh my god.

So funny.

Everybody goes through a peak wedding season.

Yeah.

And the next thing you know, it's babies.

Yeah.

I don't know about how many of my friends are going to have babies, though.

The trend is down on kids lately.

Kenzies.

I can't wait to be an auntie at Timmy and Erica.

You're already an auntie.

I know.

I already consider myself an auntie.

I just can't wait to include more kids.

Yeah.

But I'm going to be a tequila auntie.

Tequila auntie?

What's that?

I'm the one drinking tequila at the family parties.

Oh, I don't see that for you.

I mean, that's what I'm like.

I'm the aunt drinking wine at the parties, but I don't see you as like a big drinker.

I'm not a big drinker.

I don't even think I ever touch hard liquor.

Yeah, you're tequila.

Hold on.

I touch hard.

Hold on.

Have you ever gone out with Colleen?

Every time we go out, she's like tequila shots.

You did a tequila shot with her.

No, I have not.

Am I going to do a tequila shot?

No, no way.

I am prone to convincing people to do things.

Yeah.

At every wedding so far, I've been told that I'm the best worst influence.

Yeah, because Colleen gets an idea in her head.

And I have to do it.

And she is relentless.

I have to do it.

It becomes her personality.

And then, like when I started Venmoing you guys.

Colleen, I have very, very rarely seen drunk.

One time she was in the cups, and she was Venmoing us from the trunk, because that was the seat in the car.

And it was just like $5.

Sorry.

And it was like, it was like, I said 20 bucks to Stephanie, because she got me two waters.

I said like five bucks to Megan, labeled plants.

Plants.

And then everybody got one.

$10 just said hydration.

Yeah.

The fact that there isn't any spelling mistakes is also a win.

That was like, was that the night we came back and then you ate the skin off the chicken nuggets?

Yeah.

That was the night Megan was cleaning up after me everywhere.

Wiping up that red wine.

We'll see what happens this year.

I'm a white wine girly though these days.

I've brought you to the other side.

This episode is coming out Thanksgiving week.

So everybody stop right now.

Open up the share button.

Share this episode with four people who you're thankful for or not thankful for.

Oh, and when the conversation gets a little political and uncomfortable at the Thanksgiving table.

Yeah.

Just start talking about glitter.

Start talking about government cheese.

Government cheese.

Let's talk about some safe topics, guys.

Let's talk about, cause that's not gonna cause any drama.

Say, hey guys.

Let's talk about the moon.

Have you ever heard?

But government cheese is good.

So you have 52 episodes to share with your family that are all pretty family safe topics.

You know what would be the most ironic is just talking about how birds aren't real.

Yeah.

And being dead set on it.

Because that's how it started.

Spoiler alert.

Oh, yeah.

Go back.

I forgot about that.

And in fact, this week, we're gonna have a bonus episode where Colleen's gonna talk to us about the potential pasture in Arkansas.

Thank you very much.

Who might be Elvis.

Thank you.

So that will be 53 episodes.

Thank you for the opportunity.

I'm all shook up.

So is it time for our drink check?

Drink check.

What are we drinking, girls?

We're popping champagne wishes.

Have your dreams.

Where's that from?

You deserve nothing but all the finest things.

To be clear, we're not popping champagne because we're drinking Madame Liberty, which is an American-produced sparkling wine.

We're drinking Merica's wine.

That's right.

That's right.

Merica's champagne.

It's rather good.

It's a little sweet.

Oh, I thought it was a little dry.

It's a brute.

I don't know how to taste alcohol, guys.

It should be dry.

It's a brute.

It tastes sweet to me.

Is it the birthday cake that you're tasting on your tongue?

No, it just tastes sweet.

Maybe I've had really dry champagne or something.

Extra brute?

Yeah.

Okay.

I like brute champagne, to be clear.

It's not harsh.

I personally enjoy Prosecco better than champagne.

See, Prosecco's sweet.

You don't like Prosecco?

No, I don't like Prosecco.

Honestly, the older I get, I can't really drink champagne.

It makes my head hurt.

I love bubbly.

I would take a brute over Prosecco.

A brute?

I like a good bubbly.

I like anything bubbly.

I feel like I can drink it better.

Yeah.

No.

It gives me headaches and GI distress.

Okay, what are we talking about today?

Okay, so guys, we are not really talking about conspiracy theories today.

However, we are going to hit some fun conspiracy theories that we just think are funny and don't need a whole episode.

Yeah, don't need a whole episode.

And actually, we're not even sure we believe, but these are just funny conspiracy theories that are out there right now.

So anyway, so today we're just going to talk about the highs and lows, what we've learned in the past year.

And hopefully, this is just like a little peek into the lives of the 3SchemeQueens.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So guys, tell us what is what's been our biggest struggle in this past year?

Oh, Maggie, you first schedule.

Yeah, schedule is a big one.

Megan's been our star contender as far as editing productivity and get out.

Here's let me I really I have some thoughts on what I have learned.

How about that?

OK.

She's going to say Kate's a big idea girl.

And Colleen's got commitment issues.

I wasn't going to say like that, but you guys nailed it.

So I will say what I've learned is that there is so much more involved in having a podcast than just recording a podcast.

Oh, 100 percent.

If you want it to be successful, so much work.

Yeah.

And it's like the PR, the social media, the sourcing it and the website and all of that.

But my biggest, yes, I have had to learn how to do audio and I appreciate you all sticking with us because I'm still learning.

I think we're getting better, but I still hear episodes.

Last week, I had so much fun on last week's episode, but we virtually recorded and that's still something we're learning.

And there was a lot of audio issues there, so I had to really trim it down.

I did die last week when Colleen never wears headphones because she just doesn't like the sensation.

And she had to wear them because we were virtually recording.

And there's feedback.

And so she wears headphones for the first time.

It's week 51, guys.

And she goes, oh my gosh, the sound is so much better when I hold the mic close to my mouth.

And I wanted to strangle.

I was trying not to clip, so I always hold it farther away because you don't clip as much.

That's fair, too.

And I normally am a loud speaker, so I didn't think it would matter.

I mean, boy, it matters.

Clipping is a thing we've learned about.

Again, audio, I have a whole new respect for, like, producers.

And I would love to one day have a producer who could just do this for us, but we just send them the file.

You know?

Or no, there's actually podcasts that, like, live record, and they have a producer over just, like, and it's cool.

That's kind of interesting.

And that, too.

And then when we have to Google things while we're recording, that's what they're doing.

Right.

But I would love a professional, but, you know, we're a long way from making enough money to have a man on the payroll.

Right.

Or a woman.

Yeah, a person on the payroll.

Sorry.

What else did I learn?

I have a better understanding of my ADHD friends.

Oh.

Megan gets us.

I do.

I do get you more.

I think you guys, you said it a little bit more aggressively than me, but like you guys are so creative and you really do have so many good ideas.

It's the follow-through.

Well, more so even like in the episodes, like I feel like when I research an episode, I know I talk very fast.

Some of you, I haven't heard people who don't like it, but I'm sure they don't.

Mostly, I've had positive feedback about my fast talking.

But I think you 90% of the commentary I get is how professional your voice sounds.

Oh, but I feel like I'm reading from my notes and I look over, and these girls are like scrolling on their phone or they're like whispering to each other.

I try so hard.

It's the ADHD or it's hard for you to sit here for an hour.

More than I've ever done in school.

I know.

And so then I just start talking really fast because I'm like, I'm losing them, I'm losing them.

But I do think it has given me a better appreciation for how your brains work.

I mean, there's definitely times I re-listen to the episode, and I'm like, I did not hear this.

When we recorded Big Pharma with Dr.

Andrew, and you were like, what's the story with that beer, Megan?

And I told you, and then we sat down and had the drink check, and she goes, do you ever ask a question and realize you never listen to the answer?

90% of the time.

That's why it's so hard for me to learn new things, because it's like, I really want to know, I really do.

I just can't listen to you.

Well, not you, but...

It's like a processing thing.

We've already moved on to the next stuff.

Your INDA is racing, you have a million bucks.

I'm like, walk with me, walk with me.

Let's go.

It's also been interesting.

I think when we started, Kait and I were like, man, we listen back to these episodes the first like five or so, and we're like, man, we got to clean up our mouths, right?

Oh yeah, me, Spusikko.

Well, I mean, you don't care, but like we were like, man, we don't want to sound like this, right?

And then I found that I really just replace all of the curse words with ums and likes.

And so when I'm editing, I try to remove some of those as well.

But it's interesting to hear yourself back and be like, that's what I sound like, right?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Like I don't realize how slow I talk.

Oh yeah.

It's like on TikTok, there's this filter where you can, there's this option to hold your finger down and it puts it in like two times speed.

I, because I watch TikTok so often, I sometimes catch myself wanting to hold my finger down on something in real life.

I feel that way when I go back and edit and I always am like, Kait sounds so smart.

I'm talking very quickly because I'm losing you guys.

And then Kait has a really intelligent thought and she's like talking through it.

And I'm like, speed it up, girl.

Yeah.

The way you guys like present your ideas and like can go through topic lines.

I'm like, I'll just never be able to get to that point.

That's just not how my brain organizes things.

Well, it's funny because the way Megan and I have very, we have similar ways that we disseminate our essays for research.

Yeah.

And I do lots of bullet points and like titles.

Megan does a lot of paragraphs.

Not what I do.

Colleen comes with a written.

Not on a computer.

Handwritten with her gel pens, one computer, eight and a half by 11 sheet with a bunch of chaotic scribbling.

And then I like to read her little side notes in the margins.

It's always like arrow mention beaver.

No, it's like, lol.

She had to remind herself it was a really funny point she was making.

But it's the only way I can get it out of my head.

But it's also like, but then she comes and she knows exactly what she's talking about.

Yeah.

And the questions that Colleen has for you, she's answered them in her presentation because that's like another.

Yeah.

That's another thing that Megan and I have learned is when we bring this information, Colleen, also I do it too.

The side quests.

Yeah.

I need to know, oh, so what was his mom's name?

It's asking.

Eleanor.

You guys do both.

I just give them looks from recording.

Again, I have my six-page essay and I'm going through my notes.

And then it's like, they ask some-

They eat for breakfast.

Yes, some breakfast.

I just look at them like, you've got to be-

I watched four documentaries and read books on this.

Episodes where Megan has read literal novels for, and she won't know his middle name, and we'll lose our minds.

We're like, wait, but what was his favorite cookie?

Yeah, I'm like, no, but did he drive a truck or a jeep?

Because it matters.

Was he a milk drinker or a water drinker at dinner?

Like water drinker here.

Yeah, Megan was a drinker.

Megan gives milk drinker.

Yeah, she does.

Well, I have a family of milk drinkers.

I had to finish the skim milk.

I can spot a milk drinker from a mile away.

Anywhere, anywhere.

It's so easy.

It's like same with Only Children.

I'm sorry.

Can we go back to Kate sent me on Instagram?

Yeah, the Hugh Grant talking about his pet peeves, and one of them is like water bottles.

She's like, why do my kids have to love water across London?

What about a water fountain?

I'm like, yes, Hugh, yes.

Megan doesn't drink water.

No, but also, Kate was like, oh, my son forgot his water bottle at school again.

I'm like, okay, just stop giving him a water bottle, make him go stand in line at the water fountain.

That's what I do now.

Yeah.

Yeah, we had water bottle.

I call it a water bubbler.

That's a New England term, not water fountain.

But kids would literally put the whole spout in their mouth.

Wait, the bubbler?

The bubbler is when you have the jug on top.

Yeah, I call them both water bubblers.

Just like a pillow sheet?

Yeah.

Yes.

I'll die by that.

What do you guys think?

What do you guys put on your pillows?

Pillow cases or pillow sheets?

Pillow cases.

Pillow cases, yeah.

I think the struggle is finding time.

Yeah, consistently finding time.

Right.

I think that like we...

This isn't our full time job.

Like this isn't even...

This couldn't even pay one of us.

We're breaking even, but we're not profiting.

Right.

Yeah.

So...

And so we're anyway, we're all doing our full time jobs.

And along with those full time jobs comes...

Along with those full time jobs comes crazy schedules because, you know, Megan, Colleen and I are not normal Monday through Friday-ers.

We have schedules all over the place.

So...

And then when I was in school, it was like, okay, when can we record?

Um, so we end up doing a lot of sleepovers that Megan was...

Actually, I love...

It's always been fun.

Yeah.

And the kids like watching us.

Yes.

My kids always...

And they always say, when...

When's the next time you're gonna record at our house?

I can't wait for them to be, like, grown adults and, like, talking about when mom had a podcast.

Oh, my God.

Or, like, when mom's podcast was early.

Yeah.

And we're still doing it.

Yeah, we're still doing it, and they'll be guest starry.

Yeah.

Yeah.

One time I came over, and Patch goes, We only have the 2SchemeQueens because Colleen wasn't there.

Yeah.

They're really cute and supportive.

That's one thing that...

Not a struggle, but one thing that's been, like, so amazing is, like, the excitement from family members about it.

But it has been such a delight to hear, like, go home for a weekend, and everybody's, like, so excited over an episode or something like that.

Well, I...

Do you have more struggles?

No.

Do you have more struggles, Colleen?

No, I don't think so.

I think you guys got it all.

OK.

Well, because I have highlights, and that was one of my things.

I love getting positive feedback from people.

Everyone has been very supportive.

It's so fun when our friends and family give positive feedback.

Oh, my gosh.

But every once in a while, we get a rando, and that is so exciting.

That is top notch.

Yes.

Whenever we get, like, one comment on Reddit, when Megan posted on Reddit, it is so exciting.

Yeah, I love a random, or, like, that rand, the lady that...

Yeah, there was a lady on Facebook, and she was like...

She was so excited.

I was looking for an Eel episode.

How specific.

Thank you, Colleen.

Yeah.

And I am obsessed, and every episode I've listened to since then, I am obsessed with.

I forgot how much I loved the Eel episode.

Other highlights for me.

Yeah.

I said, now everyone says when you have a podcast, don't pay attention to the numbers and just do it.

And niche-dependent, you might not have as many listeners if you don't have a really...

We're very niche.

Well, not really, because Kait's friend has a mom podcast.

That's a very specific me.

That's true, yeah.

Do you know what I'm saying?

I mean, we talk about different things every week.

It's just always somewhat conspiracy-related.

Regardless, I had sort of mentally set this goal.

If we get to one year and we hit 10,000 listens, that will feel good to me.

And guys, we're there.

We did it.

Yay!

Check.

10,000 listens, that's crazy.

And I think what's even more exciting, I mean, 10,000, hopefully one day we look back and we're like, we were excited about 10,000.

And then even more exciting to me than the listens, I love to just go on to the website and look at the countries, and every time there are more countries.

So we have like over 80 countries.

Oh my god.

And so that's exciting to be like, oh my god, 300 people in Guadalajara listen to us.

That is so crazy.

How did you find us?

Yeah, that is fun.

That's super fun.

My other highlights I have.

So from a social media perspective, Kait has been killing social media since she finished school.

But we have had some like, B-list celebrities, you know what I mean?

Yeah.

We had a lot of Bravo celebrities who have liked or, not followed.

We have a lot of them.

Like or shared.

Yeah.

Specifically, we had multiple likes and shares from Craig Conover of Southern Charm.

Oh.

Thank you.

He's a conspiracy theorist.

Thanks, Craig.

And then his girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, who's on Summer House, she's given us some likes.

It's a vodka company.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Lisa Barlow.

She has reshared multiple of our stories as well.

And then Diet Coke has liked our podcast.

Diet Coke was so crazy.

So it's really fun when you get like, you know.

Just fun shout out.

My favorite though, because we're all logged in on the account, is when we'll get a follow notification.

And I'm like, oh my God, I have no idea who this person is.

It's so excited.

And then, I mean, other highlight would just be recording with my buddies over here.

I'm not super sentimental, but it has been very fun, guys.

Yeah, it's been super fun.

And I'm having fun also now going into like now, you know, we were like, someday we want to have guests on, but we want to like master our audio first.

Still getting there.

But we've started to have in this last several months more guests on.

And that's also so fun because like when our friends are like, oh my God, I want to be on and I have a conspiracy.

Yeah, I get so excited.

And then they're always like, they're like, wow, you guys are really legit.

I'm like, yeah, we've got microphones and headphones and everything.

Like shout out to Mermaid Girl, Squatch team.

Yeah, we had Mermaid Girl.

We had Dr.

Andrew.

The Squatch girls.

Yeah, I mean, they're all coming back.

We haven't had a bad guest.

We had Mermaid Girl, we had Dr.

Andrew.

We had the Squatch girls, Lindsey and Irene.

We're going to have Birdman, Drew on short V.

So yeah, that's been fun.

Trying to get my cousin Ned Sin on, which I think is going to be so funny.

Shout out Ned.

So those are my...

Do you guys have any other highlights to add?

Let's see.

I have highlights.

I like when...

Okay, so when the Instagram reels pop off, those are really fun.

When we get like 8,000 views and I'm like, holy crap.

Yeah, and we're like, oh my gosh.

I expected.

It's never the posts I think.

Colleen went viral on Reddit with her...

Quote unquote viral.

I was so excited.

That's my dream come true.

I know, but the problem is that Colleen...

Again, they have so many...

I'm like, Colleen, your investigation to Hobby Lobby blew up on Reddit.

Yeah.

And then I'm like, you should do another one.

She wants to go investigate, like olive oil.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting to do that.

You know, the ADHD.

It's the follow-through, yeah.

I do want to do olive oil investigation, and I do want to go visit the Masonic Temple.

We talked today about going to Masonic Temple.

Oh yeah, that's feasible.

And then we already decided that in June we're going to Squatch Fest.

Oh, a thousand percent.

Guys, guess where Squatch Fest is?

It's in Washington state.

Guess what's also in Washington state?

But I think a lot of the...

I think a lot of that might be in Oregon and Canada.

No, Forks is in Washington.

Oh, but I think when I've seen the reels with Clippy.

Well, they recorded in Vancouver, but Forks is in Washington.

I know, sorry.

I don't know why I'm questioning you about this.

The Twilight.

Yeah, the Twilight fiend over here.

And I said, we might have to like fly into...

I've never been west, so...

I know.

We might have to...

Well, because what is the most west you've been?

St.

Louis, one time.

Oh.

But before that?

West Philly.

Oh my gosh.

No, wait, I think it had been Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is further west.

Yeah.

You know, I've said it multiple times on the podcast.

I have five days left, and four of them are all clustered together, but one is New Mexico.

And I'm like, how will I get to New Mexico?

And it's very close to Lindsay in Vegas.

Yeah.

So we keep saying we're going to go, maybe do Roswell.

I think St.

Stan National Park that's down there.

Yes.

So I said, maybe Colleen needs to come with me.

I love to do UFOs.

And we need to go up to Squatch Fest.

I'm a really good traveler, too, I feel like.

We should take a train.

No, I don't.

That would take days.

Colleen really wants to travel by train.

I love training.

Yeah, I do love a train.

I want to take a train through Colorado so badly.

There's like a famous one that doesn't have a roof.

You train through the mountains.

That's like what we did when we went to the.

It's the Amtrak.

When we went to the Grand Canyon, it was like a glass roof.

But honestly, there was no scene.

It was like, the scenery was in the Grand Canyon.

Yeah, this one's crazy.

But the trip to the Grand Canyon.

We were just drinking mimosas.

It's really American about trains by train and going through a valley town.

Yeah, I do love trains.

I never trained a lot because my dad was an airline pilot.

We always flew everywhere.

I do as an adult have a respect for trains.

I think that's always nice.

And they still wear the hats.

The Conductors still wear hats.

It makes you feel like you step back in time.

Yeah, I'm like, oh, I'm a 1920s girl.

It's just much less stressful than a plane.

You don't have to go to the security and stuff.

I can bring a whole bottle of tequila.

You can just wander around the train.

You can go to the bathroom when you want to go to the bathroom, get your snack when you want to get your snack.

You can bring a dog, a cat.

You can bring a drink on.

A cat, a chanimal.

I went with Jillian, another front of the pod.

She's going to join us for a Diddy episode.

Yes, a whole people.

And we took a train ride to New York City, four hours, and we just binged, cheered.

It's lovely.

And drank canned wine.

And it was a lovely trip.

That reminded me of, remember that time we were talking about charcuterie boards.

Oh, and Megan was so annoyed at us.

Different boards we could do.

Megan was nauseous and car sick.

And me and Kait were like, we could do chocolate bar board, fruit board, hummus board, meat board.

And Megan was like, I am tired of hearing about the boards.

Pretty snippy with you guys because I just, and I shouldn't have.

You're uncomfortable.

When I think you guys, these girls, these girls always let me passenger princess.

Bourbon Boy drives, I get to passenger princess.

They're like, you get car sick.

I so appreciate that about you.

She didn't bring her glasses this time.

No, but I was so nushed and it was like 15 minutes.

It just wasn't the sassent.

They were really good ideas.

I just snapped.

Pizzle board, pizza board, cake board.

She was like, enough with the boards.

Cookie board.

We get it.

It was just like Forrest Gump, you know?

Boiled shrimp, seasoned shrimp, fried shrimp, coconut shrimp.

Yeah.

I think it's because we literally did it was like 10 minutes of conversation.

We were so hungry.

About different boards we could do.

And like, but each board, I was like, oh, a soft pretzel board and then Colleen, oh, that's a good idea.

It was like every, every idea we were so excited about.

I'm trying to think of other really good highlights.

It's all just been fun.

Yeah, the drink checks have been fun.

Oh, the drink checks are always fun.

Yeah.

And now that we're getting like sponsored drink checks, that's very fun.

Yeah.

I think maybe we should talk about our favorite episodes.

Oh yeah.

We should definitely talk about our favorite episodes.

What do you guys think?

Go ahead, Colleen.

Eels for sure.

That was one of the ones that I was waiting to do for so long when we kept talking about it.

All of mine have been viral TikTok.

Yeah, the ones you pick.

You like to pick ones off TikTok.

I like to pick viral ones because I feel like they got the clinger.

You know what I mean?

They cinch in or at least they cinch me in.

Yeah, because I think if this is we're 52 weeks in, guys, you must know I'm a little bit gullible.

The eels was really fun.

Princess Diana was fun, too, I feel like.

Did I?

Who did Princess Diana?

I forgot I did that one.

I like anyone that includes an accent.

That was always fun.

Oh, yeah, Colleen really good.

But what was the best?

Colleen is the best accent.

I'm a good impersonator.

Kait, except for if we take it.

Well, I don't know.

I would say about 10, 20% of the time, like you reading Princess Diana's letter, that was kind of painful.

That was me crying laughing.

But Colleen is definitely the accent girl.

And Kait, I think you could be like a secret vocalist.

Me?

Like when you just like go into song, I'm always like, she doesn't sound bad.

Oh, wow.

OK.

I did want to be a singer when I grew up.

I asked my mom for voice lessons and she said, Are you really going to stick with these things?

And I said, I don't know.

Probably not.

We have I wanted to do all the things.

Well, how about a bunch of people were like, have you not seen Kate's Tina Turner?

I get whiplash.

I think you threw your neck out one time.

Another one of my faves are like any that have like a surprising historical lesson for me.

Oh, yeah.

Like glitter was really interesting with World War Two.

Government cheese was really interesting.

There's some that I've been really shocked by.

What was the Queen?

The Queen?

Yeah, you had Queen Elizabeth.

Yeah, the first.

Yeah, I love a historical one.

Yeah.

Again, we mentioned audio was an issue because we are we are.

I think we're getting better with our audio, but now that we're trying to venture into like virtual recording with guests that are other parts of the country, another lesson, a little rough.

So the audio was sort of an issue, but as far as the one I had the most fun recording, I think recording Sasquatch, Bigfoot, Colleen and I were just talking about how like we were laughing so hard.

And then it was the most fun to edit because I was just like dying.

It was so fun.

So a lot of it got trimmed out, but it was really fun to record.

I think that our science and medical ones are fun, and that seems to be what the listener is like.

We get the most listens on those.

I think it's because we've talked about this, but not on the pod.

We've talked about this on the side.

I think that when we do science, it's like you know that that's like plays to our strengths.

Yeah.

Right.

When we do science ones, we can really...

We really know a lot.

We are experts.

We know what we're talking about.

Subject matter experts.

Right.

Yeah.

I think like Diet Coke and Big Pharma especially.

Oh yeah, Big Pharma was good.

We have some coming up that I think you all are going to enjoy.

Yeah.

Kind of sciencey ones.

So those are really fun.

MH370 and Plum Island were really fun.

That was a really good one.

MH370 is still probably my favorite.

But I think it's because it will always be a conspiracy.

Yeah, the ones that have no ending.

Yeah.

Well, unless they randomly find this plane.

Yeah.

Well, speaking of ones with no ending, I really enjoy JFK.

JFK was not a hit with our listeners.

Specifically, part two is probably just like too much content and people lost interest.

Yeah, people were overwhelmed.

But JFK was so fascinating to me, and that's another one.

And you know what, guys?

Allegedly, we're going to get the declassified story.

Allegedly, it's coming.

I mean, he said that last time, but now he's got RFK on his side.

He's got RFK.

Yeah.

So hopefully.

And RFK really wants to know what happened to his dad too.

Yeah.

It's like a double.

Yeah.

I also really got to give a shout out to our merch.

A lot of the merch Megan designed.

Oh, you have to get some too.

And we got to get your sister on some too.

Oh, yeah.

Oh, she will.

I don't know why I never thought to even ask her.

I really like the fact that we have merch.

It feels very.

Official.

Influencer.

Yeah, I was wearing.

Listen, I went to Mexico and I had my koozie, and I had my.

I have like an oversized tank top that I sometimes wear as like a swimsuit cover up.

And I was like just walking around, and I was waiting for someone to be like.

Yeah, yeah.

I think all of the season was fun, and I'm like already looking forward like the eels, the mermaids, and I'm already looking.

I'm sorry, the USOs.

I posted on Instagram, but guys, we were ahead.

We were ahead.

There's now been a hearing about the USOs.

Yeah, so go back and listen to that, guys.

We will repost that.

That's what I'm looking forward to in like five years.

The things that we were right.

Yeah, yes, like that's great.

Well, I can't wait for the next season, see, son, and I can't wait for us to talk about Octopi.

Oh my gosh, Octopi.

I can not wait.

And more in the Titanic.

We have so much more.

I was just sitting here thinking about Titanic.

Well, Kait's going to finish her Titanic series.

Kait's going to finish her Seven Wonders of the World series.

Colleen's got to finish her Secret Society series.

So there's more to come.

Yeah.

How about you, Kait?

What were your favorites?

I will always love Birds Aren't Real.

Oh, yeah.

I loved that episode.

Again, because it was so ironic, right?

And he's just trying to defuse a fight.

It's very type 9.

It's very type 9.

It's something that everyone could think is funny.

I just loved that one.

I loved MH370.

I've always had that.

Government Cheese was good.

I'm still bitter.

I was not able to.

Oh, yeah.

You weren't there for the cheese.

I love the Diddy files that we're doing.

Diddy is so interesting.

It's like a big web, and I'm so excited, because I feel like there's so much that's going to come out.

So I think it's going to be fun in May to cover the trial, but even now, I have a lot of fun with it, because it shouldn't be fun.

It's terrible.

What he's done is awful.

But we just have a Google Doc, and whenever I see something pop up on my news feed or on my Instagrammer, and I'm like, deep dive, is this real?

And then I just add it to the Google Doc, and it's really fun to discuss, but awful.

I mean, awful for real.

It's awful, but also I'm just so interested to see what happens as like...

With the rest of Hollywood?

Yes.

I feel like...

And how it changes things.

Yes, I feel like it's just like the tip of the iceberg.

Well, I'm so afraid it's just gonna be like an Epstein 2.0.

Right, where they just keep saying, oh, we've got the list, we got the list, and it never comes out.

Yeah, like where Diddy goes down and we never hear about anyone else.

Yeah.

I do think that like somebody said one time, like what are you guys gonna do when you run out of conspiracies?

And it's like we haven't there.

No, our continuous conspiracy theories we have.

I don't even think we've like we've even touched.

I feel like we've gotten that from a couple of people who are obviously not outing conspiracy theorists, right?

Because it is an un it's a limitless.

If you look for it, you will find it right.

Like because it's it's well, the Internet exists.

Right.

And thus conspiracies exists.

Right.

And that is what it will be forever.

And we have at least a spying We have like a year's worth of ideas on the Google Drive.

Yeah.

We're still trying to get Megan to do COVID.

And then let me know if you guys want COVID.

I want COVID so bad.

It was just too early.

I just think it's sort of like 9-11.

Like I also 9-11.

Like people did lose fellow members.

And it's kind of just a big conspiracy theory.

Where did COVID come from?

Well, I told you.

You and I already agree on that.

That's still a conspiracy.

Yeah.

I don't know.

It just feels a little bit fresh.

All right.

Let's talk about our favorite funny conspiracies right now that really just don't warn an episode and they really have like no leg to stand on.

So that's why we can't do an episode on them.

So, Colleen, most of my conspiracies are that.

Yeah.

I mean, I thought you were going to ask us about...

Like the Elvis one?

Yeah.

I thought you were going to ask us about conspiracy theories that just are too ridiculous to be true, in which case...

It could be too ridiculous, but I also think these are funny.

Every single one of the ones I've presented on.

Colleen is so gullible, but when she picks...

When she does the research and she presents a TikTok, she's always like, debunked, it's not real.

I just feel like if she just took 10 minutes to deep dive into all of these...

Yeah, but they're funny.

Guys, our bonus episode on Elvis, literally for an hour and a half, I just had Megan sitting next to me watching TikToks with her.

I know.

Actually, the episode itself is only 28 minutes because most of it was her be like, but wait, Megan, watch this TikTok.

Watch this TikTok.

Yeah.

So I thought Colleen does her Elvis deep dive this week.

That was a conspiracy that like a low-stake conspiracy that just was ridiculous.

The government tease was not a conspiracy.

That was proof.

I did Gabrielle Rico Jimenez, which was as a true crime person.

This was a case I had always heard of.

And when I investigated it, it's like this girl, that was the one that was like this Mexican model who was killed by the Illuminati.

Yeah.

And it's like she wasn't even a Mexican model.

But hold on.

He's not dead.

Or like Birds Aren't Real was another one that was like so ridiculous.

But then, yes, it ended up being like this guy was really intelligent.

Right.

And now he's making money.

So going back to this, what was her name?

Rico, her name?

Gabrielle Rico Jimenez.

Yeah.

Rico Jimenez.

Which is German, I think.

I don't know.

Oh yeah.

I only have a minor in Spanish.

You know, it's another highlight for me is people in the real world making fun of me for like the stupid things I've said on the podcast, but then I don't remember what I've said on the podcast.

So I don't even realize they're making fun of me.

Like, my family will never let me live about the gold.

Like, where did the Nazis get the gold?

The Nazi gold.

In my defense, I thought we were talking about like actual pounds of gold, not like money in general.

So did I.

We've talked.

It means like money.

Yeah.

No, they're not.

We were talking about pounds of gold, but it's a conspiracy theory.

Yeah.

Well, my brother.

The gold was real.

Yeah.

Yeah, I did.

I know you guys all did.

And then I didn't realize until like a month later when I was like, wait, you guys know I was being sarcastic, right?

I had no idea.

And so my family to the state.

That's probably more of a fun to me for that.

It's probably more of a Megan issue.

Like my delivery was probably the problem.

Yeah, you're smart.

We believe you.

Yeah.

When Megan presents, we're like, oh, my gosh.

But when we're paying it for like 15 minutes and then they lose interest.

Yeah.

And there was like we tried to re-record the moon landing.

Oh, my God.

And he lost us.

But also at the same time, we were like, wow, we really don't believe this anymore.

Yeah.

The first round of recording the moon, I was fighting Megan.

I was like, there's no freaking way, Megan.

Like, heck no.

Second time re-recording, I was like, damn it.

She got us.

She got us.

Okay.

Going back to Himanas.

There's this book called...

This is the ADHD.

Yeah.

There's a book called We Used to Live Here, where, okay, I want you to read the book, but anyway, it's about this house where you go into the house and then you don't know if you come out into the same dimension.

That's what I'm saying about this girl.

What if she went through a time portal and ended up in a place and they were like, Oh, this her whole backstory is not right, but she's actually telling the truth.

Wait, do you mean like Loki?

Yeah, it always goes back to Marvel.

We haven't had one of those in a minute.

We haven't actually.

It used to be a lot of Marvel.

I know.

I used to have a lot of more Marvel.

Anyway, this is my favorite conspiracy theory on the internet right now.

This is what I think is super funny, but some people might not think it's funny.

There's a conspiracy going around on the internet right now that Joe Biden and Joe Biden voted for Donald Trump.

And I think it is the funniest conspiracy theory.

First thing is that Jill came out from voting wearing all red.

And I will say, when I told my mom that, she was like, Yeah, what's it about?

Why was she wearing red?

It's the Republican color.

And I would think that a career political wife would know.

I don't think she gives any shits.

No, I think they're mad.

Shortly after election, there was also some gathering where Kamala and Joe were there, and everyone was like, they didn't even make eye contact.

Yeah, Jill.

Oh, I'm sure it's tense.

Yeah, I'm sure it's tense.

Yeah.

So this is my, that's my, and then your second one's making me.

And then when Trump goes and visits the White House and like him and Biden are laughing like they look like his best friend.

Yeah.

BFFs.

And he's like, I'm going to come back.

We're going to do this again.

It's easy to have a good time with somebody who probably has memory issues.

I'm just like, do you guys remember your debate?

Yeah.

You guys hated each other three months ago.

Yeah.

He probably doesn't remember.

Hold on.

I still love the fact that like, this is so sad this happened.

But like they argued about their golf game.

A debate.

It's one of my favorite audience.

I like the, there's some like TikTok or Instagram person who, who like reenacted it, you know, with the, yes, the voiceover.

And it is hysterical.

And again, you're like, this is our country right now.

Two presidents right now are in a debate, and all they can do is bicker over who's a better golfer.

Yeah.

Welcome to America.

There are so many things wrong with America right now.

Okay.

The second one, I used to love this show.

Okay.

Okay.

Wait, do you have any funny ones?

I do have.

Well, so the one that, the one I have, I only have one.

Oh, okay.

But the one that I have really enjoyed that has been debunked.

I never really believed it, but I just enjoyed it.

Okay.

Is that Adele and Sam Smith are the same person.

Oh, yeah.

You love this one.

So how would people believe that?

The theory is they look different.

No, they don't.

If you merge them.

If you put their face on top of each other, their faces look the same.

They look so different.

If you take an episode, I would do.

Yeah.

If you lower, if you lower the pitch on Adele singing and you raise the pitch on Sam singing, sounds the same.

They're both British.

You're the one who told me, Colleen, they both lost weight at the same time.

I did.

You said that.

Oh yeah.

And they both lost weight at the same time.

Sam Smith really lost weight.

And up until 2023, they had never been not only photographed together, but had never been photographed at the same event.

These two have both won Grammys.

How have they never been at the same event?

But debunked in 2023.

I kinda told you that.

There is a video of them together.

So there's this, the 2023 Grammys, Trevor Noah hosts.

So he's doing a monologue and he's like walking through the people.

He starts his monologue.

He's standing behind Sam Smith.

He walks through the crowds and he ends up at a table with Adele.

Wait.

One could argue.

I have a question.

Of course you do.

Do we think Adele and Sam Smith could be the same person because they're both lizard people who morph into different bodies?

But could I pause?

That might actually explain this because you could also say, Sam Smith had 30 seconds to get out of his chair, run around, change into Adele's outfit and plop himself in Adele's seat.

That sounds feasible to me.

Yeah.

It's just a dress.

Or he just morphed because he's a humanzoid lizard.

None of them are up there.

My favorite artists are ballads because I love a good ballad.

Yes, they both sing a ballad.

Yeah.

I don't think they sound similar, though.

I don't know.

Megan really doesn't typically believe this.

I do not believe this, but I want to believe it.

All right.

What else do you have?

There is a conspiracy theory out there that on The Fairly Odd Parents, do you guys know that show?

I used to love that show.

It's like a older Disney show.

I was like, after my time, though.

Get it right.

Nickelodeon?

Oh, they exposed both P Diddy and Walt Disney as like nefarious sort of traffickers.

Well, I'm sure that's more like Nickelodeon putting their commentary out there than like.

I'm sorry.

Nickelodeon?

It's probably very anti-Judy.

Aren't they problematic as well?

Oh, yes.

Nickelodeon.

That's my next one.

Yeah.

That Epstein's island is shaped just like the Nickelodeon logo.

Oh, my gosh.

And it's like to represent Pleasure Island for kids.

Oh, my God.

Yeah, that's pretty gross, right?

Disgusting.

And so Nickelodeon had this whole scandal, right?

So many scandals.

About so many of their child stars being sexually sold.

And so people think it's tied to Epstein.

That's probably a bigger episode, and that one's not funny.

But just a little makes you go, you know?

And then my last one, the Notebook, like the movie, is actually a horror movie.

I thought that said horny.

Nope.

I feel like it is a horny movie.

I was like, they bang.

That's a lot.

They won Best Kiss at the VMAs.

And then they kiss at the VMAs.

It was so attractive.

But you know who else did that also was Edward and Bella.

So that is not the best case.

No.

And I loved that book.

Anyway, so a horror movie.

Yeah, it's actually like a thriller where like, so the conspiracy is that what's her name?

What's the girl's name?

It's Noah and Ali.

Oh, there we go.

Okay.

So Ali is, she's like the old lady and he's like visiting her at the nursing home and he's reading her from the Notebook.

Who, by the way, didn't the old Ali just die of Alzheimer's?

Oh, that's so sad.

Yeah.

Anyway, so Ali, old Ali is in the nursing home and she really like, the thriller part of this is that the old man is not really Noah, but he's like found her Notebook and he's trying to convince her that he is this guy.

She doesn't actually know this old man who's actually found her Notebook.

And they say that there's evidence in this and that like the family comes to visit, like her kids come to visit and they go off on a walk and it looks like the family's all looking at him like, who is this guy?

Anyway, that's crazy.

Is the thriller a romantic love story or?

Wait, is the notebook, is the notebook a romantic love story or actually a psychotic thriller?

Oh, okay, no, those does.

I kind of like the idea that it's a romantic love story, however.

I mean, it is like one of the greatest love stories.

Oh my gosh.

I think he's like reading the notebook.

I just sat at the end of the movie and just sobbed as the credits rolled.

That's the dream.

Just to die next to your loved one.

I just want to hand the man the building out on the same day, so you don't have to live without him.

Yeah.

I thought that perhaps we could wrap up this episode with a couple of recommendations.

Yeah.

Do you guys have any?

For what?

Like content, like podcasts, movies, books.

Oh, I guess.

I love recommending books.

What kind of books do you want me to recommend?

She's got a lot.

Related to conspiracy theories.

Oh, I got none of that.

Go on TikTok.

That's what I recommend.

Have you heard of Reddit?

I really like, I've told you, we follow them.

Yeah, I like Blurry Creatures.

Blurry Creatures starts out with their whole first season is about Bigfoot.

Oh, and they're like the ones that made me believe in Bigfoot.

I mean, they have like a religious spin, right?

It's like their religious spin is that.

So there's like the Christians that think that like we could never there's no such thing as aliens, there's no such things as other dimensions.

And their whole thing is like, but no, there's biblical evidence that actually supports that like angels are not from this world.

Like they're, so they would be aliens or like.

Well, have you seen what, like the image of what an angel's supposed to look like?

Yeah, they're supposed to look terrifying.

Yeah, they look like.

And they're huge, they're like giants.

Yeah.

And that's why every time an angel appears in the Bible, they first say, fear not.

They're not supposed to look like angelic, like we think.

Anyway, so they just like sort of go through time and sort of put this like all of these things could actually be traced back to the Bible and not.

The Bible doesn't like disprove them.

And I like that anyway.

I like that podcast.

And they're two guys and they are just good guys.

I think one we've talked about multiple times is the Mountain Monster Hunters.

Oh, my God.

Monster.

Please, for the love of all things beautiful, watch that.

You guys have to watch that show.

Yeah.

I had I recommended it.

I put it on the story, but I think we might need to change it.

We might need to put it on a permanent.

So I turned on Hooli the other day and brand new documentary, and I got sucked in.

The Honorable Shine.

Shine is the rapper who went down for the Diddy shooting with JLo.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

So it's kind of his biography, how he came to know Diddy, how he got involved about his jail time, and what he's done since then.

And he actually is like, he got deported back to Belize.

Shine is now the opposition leader of the House of Representatives in Belize.

Oh, my God.

You know, another good one.

And just like thinking aloud of like things to recommend to follow along.

This one's like a court case that was ongoing.

That's like kind of conspiracy.

Do you hear about the one about Karen Reed in New England?

Like the state of Massachusetts is claiming she killed her husband at like a party.

Like hit him with her car.

But there's been so much more proof.

But did she just get acquitted?

She did, yeah.

But there's proof that like the stateys mess with the evidence because I don't know.

It was, they were all, it was a little true crime spin.

It's very onion.

There's a lot of layers.

There, it's in Massachusetts or was it in New Hampshire?

She's from Massachusetts, but the party, the incident of crime might have been in New Hampshire.

I feel like I know what you're talking about.

Because it's all about, the conspiracy is that the Stadies killed them and they're hiding their evidence and things like that.

I already recommended this when I did the JFK episode, but what the doctors saw on, it's on Amazon Prime now, that was really interesting.

It was all of the med students and the medical residents who were in the ER when JFK came in.

And what they saw and how it did not corroborate the government's story.

Oh yeah, that's good.

So that's also a really good one.

I thought we were going to do actual real things.

What did you think we were going to do?

I thought you wanted to hear about my book recommendations in which I'd tell you all about the fantasy novels, I think.

Yeah, I think this is maybe not our audience.

It's not that vibe.

You can tell us those.

I mean, she already does it on her Instagram.

I want to start a Bookstagram, I think.

Okay, Kait, anyway, I just want to say thank you so much for hanging with us this year.

This has been super fun.

It's been challenging.

It's been a learning process.

But yeah, we again, appreciate it.

I think I always say this like, oh, yeah, thank you for following.

Thank you for and Colleen does like a really funny impression of me and whatever.

I'm really good.

But like from the bottom of our hearts, like we would not do this unless we get this like positive feedback from you guys.

And that helps so much.

So again, like I said, you know what Colleen said, take out your phone, share this episode with somebody, share your favorite conspiracy theory episode that we have done and make sure that you continue to help us grow this platform.

Because this is something we really enjoy.

And we couldn't do it without you guys.

So thank you so much for being a part of this community.

And yeah.

Yeah.

And tune in tomorrow.

For you know, last year, we took a one week break during the holidays because we were like, people are busy with their holidays.

And then we got all this feedback, like I was driving to my in-laws and I had nothing to listen to.

So we are here for you through the holidays.

And we're doing a bonus episode tomorrow when you're on your way to your families for Thanksgiving.

So yeah, listen to Colleen's take on whether or not Elvis is still alive.

He's still with us.

Is he a pastor in Arkansas?

She'll let us know.

But yes, thank you guys for standing by us for a year and here's to hopefully another year.

We're still thankful for the experience.

And yeah, we'll see you tomorrow and then we'll see you next Tuesday.

Happy Thanksgiving, guys.

Bye for turkey.

All right, bye.
